| Category | Capacity | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| ADHS Certified Child Care Group Home | up to 10 | 5 to 10 children for whom compensation is received. Your own children do NOT count toward the certification cap — but the total children present, including children related to you, may never exceed 15 (A.R.S. §36-897.02). |
| DES Certified Family Child Care Home Provider | up to 4 | Certification for providers at 4 or fewer paid children who want Child Care Assistance money (A.R.S. §46-807) — the certification is a funding door, not an operating requirement. |
